New here? Great! If you haven't checked out our websites, you may do so here:
Current Website
Please Click Here
That link will direct you to our information section. Providing you with everything you will need to know.
If you've already been to our website, then great! Be sure to familiarize yourself with our Pack Rules.
Welcome to DawnRunners!

These forums are only used for information purposes. It's a great way for wolves to update their profiles and keep logs of meetings, etc. We strive on keeping our Pack friendly and welcoming to all who desire to visit and join. Keep in mind that we use an IRC Chat Applet (On the website) to roleplay, or you can download mIRC if you want to use the program.
I strongly suggest using the program. You can go through the threads here to find a list of commands and simple vocabulary we use. Our chat applet will soon have a list of commands so you have your own cheat sheet to go from.
Forum Rules
1. Please respect everyone. We do not tolerate drama. Issues should be brought to a Council Member in Private.
2. Keep it PG-13. Mild swearing is fine, nothing excessive.
3. Keep everything according to the category and board. Do not make us have to reorganize the forums.
4. Please read all of the sticky/pinned threads on each board. Check for updates frequently!

Wolfrp Guides (This was copied off of the old dawnrunners website of 2008)
=========================== 1. What is Freeform? 2. The pack is where!? 3. Character development 4. Basic facts
1. What is freeform?
Freeform is the most used type of Roleplay, besides story-based. Freeform allows you to create a character, and just role play them in an already-made setting. This is used to your advantage. Plots are normally abled to be done whenever possible by the players, but in Wolfrp, it'll be suggested... but only the Alphas can unleash them. In freeform, you're automatically your character whenever you step into the Roleplay room. (#Dawnrunners)
2. The Pack is where!?
We are settled upon something called mIRC (Multi internet relay chat). It's a program that you can download from www.mirc.com, for free... just ignore the register stuff, and IT DOESN'T GIVE VIRUSES, unless you downloaded something from DCC... otherwise it's fine. Trust me, I've had it for years. If I said it had viruses, it'd be gone by now.
IRC is a chat-based program, therefore the pack will have on-going activity while you're in the channel. IRC is not hard to use, but it is hard to get used to. I'll set some examples on how to use IRC later on, but for now, venture on to learn how to create a character for the pack.
3. Character development
In wolfrp, you ARE the wolf. No, don't confuse this as to thinking you're an actual wolf... or a furrie. When I say, "you are the wolf", it is meaning in a spiritual sense, as you are taking on your wolven self in this pack. You are still human, in the outside world, but here you are your wolf, and Dawnrunners wishes you'd make someone that represents you, as your wolf. Here are some ground instructions about your "personal self"
i. Attitude.
As much as we all get this, if you have an attitude, then you feel your wolf should? No. If you have an attitude problem, then don't come to Dawnrunners. As blunt as that sounds, we don't accept rude, ignorant people in our family. If you're understandable, friendly, and above all loyal, then you're more than welcome to join us. Your attitude is a key significant part of you, and how we will respond to you, therefore your wolf as well should keep a positive attitude, even if he or she has an attitude problem.
ii. Colors and form.
The wolves in our pack should always fit as close to reality as possible. Your wolf is allowed to have odd markings on their fur, but the colors must be realistic. Black, white, brown, gray, and all those naturlistic colors of wolves, should be on your wolf. I do allow silver, therefore you may use it. Keep in mind the wolven facts, females won't normally be bigger and heavier than males, but it can happen once in awhile. Keep certain facts in mind when making a wolf character.
4. Basic facts (Wolfrp)
New wolves, and members, and those lower than the Alpha(s) will generally keep lower form than the Alpha, to not cause any haste... otherwise the alpha will attack if you do not bow before him or her. Newer wolves always stay in submittion, thus allowing the Alpha or the residence in the pack, to sniff out the newcomer to see if they are a threat or not. This is common within pack life, and to our pack. Submittion is key to gain a pack's respect, as well as keeping on their good side!
4. Basic facts (IRC)
If you're wondering how to get to us, or what commands to use, this below will tell you how.
1. Go to www.mirc.com 2. Download and install. 3. Open and put in your wolf name (username), email, and whatnot. 4. Click connect, and type /server irc.sorcery.net
5. WAIT FOR IT TO CONNECT. IT MAY TAKE A MINUTE! 6. Once connected, type /join #dawnrunners 7. Welcome to our home! Yay!
If you have any troubles connecting, just email me at: ifreyanight@gmail.com and I'll try to assist you.
Basic IRC Commands
/nick (nickname) - Allows you to change your name. (Use it best when going AFK) Example: /nick Lune[AFK]
/join #channel - Allows you to join a channel. Example: /join #dawnrunners
/nickserv register (password) (email) - Use this to register your nickname, then go to your e-mail to verify it. IF IT'S NOT IN YOUR INBOX, CHECK YOUR JUNKMAIL!
Basic Wolf Vocabulary
Growl - Used when a wolf is threatened, or can sometimes be used playfully, which is called a Playful growl.
Howl - Communication. Used to announce ceremonies such as Pack Meetings, or when a Hunt is successful. It can also be used when a wolf is injured and needs help, or to alert the pack of incoming dangers.

Chuff - A light bark to greet wolves recognized.
